Why does the Add-On need such extended rights (e.g publish) for my GTM account?
The underlying Apps Script of this Add-On uses the Advanced Google Tag Manager service, which (unfortunately) doesn’t allow us to control the scope of access we are requesting upon initial setup. The Add-On itself doesn’t have the code to make use of any of Publish rights. Ideally we could limit the scope of permissions to Read and Write (to upload the new names) without having access to the Publish permissions.
